Shipping & Receiving

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods from trucks and delivery vehicles, as well as, the preparation, painting and packaging of product assemblies. This position is for both Shipping and Receiving, that requires the use of a tape measure, pallet jack and Forklift. Applicant must have an eye for Quality and accuracy in counting along with the ability to follow detailed instructions. Also have computer literacy for completing transactions and the creation of shipping documents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of supplies, materials, and equipment in a timely manner.
• Participate in the receiving, unloading and inspection of shipments for damage and conformity to purchase order specifications and packing slips; contact buyer regarding shortages, damaged goods or other discrepancies; complete receiving.
• Participate in the stocking of products.
• Builds and prepares crates and skids for finished goods.
• Picks/Packs/Ships all part orders scheduled daily through a variety of transport carriers.
• Operates forklift
• Other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of Shipping and Receiving experience.
• Computer skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing for the majority of the workday.
