Material Handler

- MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
- Ensure adequate supply of inventory is regularly positioned to meet daily production and shipping needs.
- Supply timely placement of raw inventory to correct production locations.
- Strong focus on loading outbound daily shipping requirements.
- KEY AREAS OF ACTIVITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Tracks and records daily shipping numbers, actual BOLs shipped, work orders, product invoices, and receipt of goods and materials received posting results to computerized record systems to assure accuracy.
- Monitors daily shipping and receiving activities of warehouses, inspects all deliveries received, and ensures proper logistics and distribution of all products and materials.
- Manages accurate inventory counts are picked for loadout and positioned for production and picked for loadout in a timely manner.
- Collaborates with the Logistics Director, Plant Manager, and Inventory Supervisor to maintain required efficiencies; moving product throughout the production floor and resolves discrepancies.
- Partners with Inventory Control Supervisor aligning the daily activities; ensuring adequate space is available on the production floor and reassigns inventory locations, as needed.
- Assists Inventory Control Supervisor with any audits of raw and finished goods checks.

- SKILLS NEEDED
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related field.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Extensive experience in Material Handling, inventory control, warehousing, and computer applications.
- Maintains a current forklift license.
- Self-starter; able to work in an independent manner.
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to train all levels of the organization, across all shifts of operation.
- MEASUREMENT
Primary measures of successful performance will be:
- Inventory production lines properly maintained to ensure high daily manufacturing efficiencies.
- Ontime loadout of outbound carriers ensuring minimal delay and efficient departure of PANDROL product.
