Employment Coordinator 

JOB HIGHLIGHTS 

Employment Coordinator  Qualifications:  

  • Training and experience gained through graduation from a college or university with major study emphasis in vocational rehabilitation or other related field 
  • Five years practical/relative vocational rehabilitation experience appropriate in lieu of formal education 
  • Prior experience in coordination of services with community agencies, job development and/or marketing is preferred 
  • Valid drivers license, good driving record and insured vehicle available for daily use 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) 

Employment Coordinator  Responsibilities:  

  • Collaborate with community resources and utilize varying techniques in accessing services and jobs for individuals with barriers to employment 
  • Ability to evaluate individual’s functional abilities in a variety of settings 
  • Ability to develop employment situations matching individual’s abilities and job preferences 
  • Provide job related case management and coordination of services for DVR Clients  
  • Possess awareness of realistic work expectations regarding quality of work and appropriate behavior 
  • Establish working relationships between clients, employers and co-workers to promote integration and foster success 
  • Ability to work independently and creatively to perform task analysis of job, job modifications and job redesign when necessary 
  • Possess writing and organizational skills to create reports and maintain accurate, up to date case notes and perform assessments and evaluations
