Summary
Are you interested in working on a per diem basis? If so, then this might be the perfect job for you! We need people who are willing to fill in at a moment's notice when our staff are out sick or at trainings. You can work as few as a couple hours a week or as many as 40 hours, depending on the needs of that week and your availability.
Duties
Cover the duties of the teacher or assistant teacher that is out for the day. Duties may included carrying out lesson plans, preparing snacks, helping with toileting or diapers, helping children get dressed and undressed for outdoor play, engaging in play with children ages one to five, following the lead of the other teacher(s) in the room, and some light cleaning.
Requirements
At least a high school graduate. Some early childhood college coursework preferred. Must enjoy working with children, be a responsible and dependable employee, and work well with others. Must be willing to take an online mandated reporter training, an online Vermont orientation training, and become CPR /first aid certified.
Nice To Haves
Some college course work in early childhood education preferred. Some experience working with children preferred.
