Concrete Finisher

JENNMAR Services is currently seeking Experienced Concrete Finishers to fill our position in Cortez, Colorado. This professional will perform any combination of duties on construction projects. You must have at least one year of construction experience, preferably working with concrete. Our ideal candidate is proficient with industry tools, such as a power trowel, and has experience with rebar and steel plates. You also need to communicate effectively on a team. Because this job is physically demanding, you need to have good physical stamina, the endurance to work in all weather conditions, and the strength to lift up to 50 pounds. Duties and Responsibilities for the Concrete Finisher:

• Setting forms that hold the concrete in place
• Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues
• Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver
• Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process
• Review project plans and location of the concrete pour
• Gather and inspect equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
• Install rebar or concrete forms as needed
• Communicate with the concrete team about the timing and completion of each phase of the project
• Use power trowels and vibrating screeds to smooth freshly poured concrete
• Check the finished product to make sure it meets specifications
• Follow all industry and governmental safety protocols
• Maintain equipment and make repairs when necessary

Requirements and Qualifications for the Concrete Finisher:

• Must have 1 year of work experience as a concrete laborer or mason
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Familiar with proper handling of materials and equipment
• Able to lift heavy materials and work long hours
• Able to stand and/or kneel for long periods
• A flexible schedule is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Compensation for the Concrete Finisher:

• $20.00-$25.00 DOE
