Senior Product Manager

Come grow with us! We have an immediate opportunity for a  Senior Product Manager to join our team. You will ensure that Smarty remains at the leading edge of location data intelligence, including address quality, geocoding and address enrichment,  by implementing and executing the product strategy through research and collaboration.

We’re looking for an innovative thinker that can drive the success of our product line through market research, collaboration, and strategic planning. This position reports to the Chief Product Officer.  You will play a pivotal role in guiding a product line on our roadmap, from concept to launch. This is an onsite, non-remote opening in Orem, Utah.

What you’ll do

• Assist in the direction, oversight, and implementation of our product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Lead our product development roadmap and commercial success by ensuring that Smarty continues to provide market-leading solutions for location intelligence products and data
  • Design a product offering strategy to leverage Smarty’s strengths and highlight market differentiators
  • Manage, own, and drive the entirety of the product life cycle, from inception to execution
• Serve as subject matter expert and champion of Smarty products, following industry trends and linking the value of our products and services with customers and technical teams
• Research user needs and advocate for the customer experience, driving feature growth and product adoption
• Build trust and rapport with multiple departments to enact a product vision
  • Work with team members to convert customer requirements into detailed product requirements for engineering
  • Collaborate closely with marketing to create and execute successful go-to-market strategies
  • Partner with engineering to improve quality and provide value to customers
  • Work closely with sales to help with product training and help with enterprise-level opportunities when needed
  • Leverage internal data specialists to manage product work, utilizing quantitative and qualitative research to improve performance
  • Work closely with UX team to ensure brand quality and an exceptional customer experience
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to facilitate appropriate rollout activities and minimize disruption while improving customer interactions

Who you are

• 5+ years of experience in software product management and development
• Advanced understanding of technology and industry trends
• Preference:  A good understanding of location intelligence data, GIS, address validation and geocoding
• Bachelor’s degree or MBA
• Strong customer-facing experience and skills
• Experience designing solutions while working with engineers and product teams
• Skilled at collaborating across multiple groups, including engineering, marketing, customer support, sales, legal and the executive team
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Futuristic, analytical and data-driven decision making
