Location: Valley City, ND
Duration of Role: 1+ years
Pay: $50.32/ hourly
Hours: First Shift | Mon-Thur, 6:00am-4:30pm. Friday and Saturday are OT as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking hands on factory experience inspecting parts, reading prints, and troubleshooting quality related issues. Ability to read prints and troubleshoot daily assembly quality issues driving for root cause analysis using 8D principles. Track nonconformance issues through the John Deere corrective action process.
QE to monitor the factory for quality issues on the production line, root cause and interacting with the operations team for resolution.
Years of Experience Required: 3-5
Skills/ Experience:
• Should have hands on factory experience inspecting parts, reading prints, and troubleshooting quality related issues
• Ability to think critically and solve problems analytically
• Ability to solve problems by determining root cause and driving corrective action
• Strong computer skills, including Excel
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data
• Ability to interact with multiple engineering areas to resolve problems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize a large number of tasks
• 8D / Six Sigma
• Engineering degree
Preferred:
• Mechanical, or industrial engineering degree- Manager is not open to recent grads. He would like someone to have at least 3 years of experience.
Education Preferred:
B.S. Engineering – Industrial, Ag, Mechanical, Manufacturing
Top three skill set:
Six sigma certifications
Previous experience in Manufacturing
