Job Description
A Shift Leader is a professional in charge of providing direct supervision and ensuring everything runs smoothly during their shift-based job. The duties include covering for absences from coworkers and managing cash drops off by employees when they’re not working.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of warehouse associates during assigned shift.
- Ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Responsible for supporting the Site Manager in all day-to-day operations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
- Collaborate with other shift leaders and management to improve operational processes.
- Train and develop team members on standard operating procedures.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the shift.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Shift Leader or relevant managerial role.
- Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including working with carriers and 3PL providers.
- Proven ability to effectively manage a team, including scheduling, performance management, and coaching.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Knowledge of e-commerce operations is a plus.
Requirements and Skills
- Previous 2 years of experience as a Shift Supervisor or similar role.
- At least 2 years of forklift experience.
- Full understanding of industry safety standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of basic software, such as Word and Excel.
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as standing up for long hours and lifting heavy loads occasionally.
- Working well within a team.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Leadership and conflict-management skills.
- High School Diploma. A degree in Management is a plus.
- Familiarity with AS400 or other warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage a team.
