JOB SUMMARY:
A Company Store Team Member is responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, helping, suggesting items, lending opinions, and providing product information. Individual responsibilities may include demonstrating outstanding customer service and selling skills, keeping the selling floor stocked with merchandise, assisting in display of merchandise, or organizing the selling floor and stock areas.
They must process payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash and store or other credit cards. Must also be able to deal with customer refunds courteously and professionally. Maintains a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting store's commitment to our customer. Develops product knowledge by training from the department leads. Stays current with promotional events and sales. Reports to Company Store Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Service and wait on customers at the meat case.
- Prepares trays for stocking meat case.
- Continuous filling of meat case as needed.
- Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
- Grind and prepare in-house sandwich spread as needed.
- Take case temperatures at scheduled times and record.
- Receives and checks in all Nueske deliveries along with outside vendor deliveries.
- Answers customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
- Performs all procedures that are required to operate the checkout register accurately and efficiently.
- Closes out the registers at the end of the day.
- Perform all procedures related with the outside brat and hot dog stand (Bob’s Camper)
- Answer phone when needed to assist customers
- Take customer phone orders and in-store to proper procedure.
- Helps to maintain the cleanliness of the store to include sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing dishes, cleaning meat and cheese cases, cleaning and/or defrosting bunkers and freezers, walk in cooler, countertops, and any other area required or requested by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Superior Customer Service skills.
- Language Skills- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Computer Skills- to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software (use computerized cash register).
- Mathematical Skills- ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Reasoning Ability- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
