Project Manager Job Description

MacConnell & Associates, P.C. has been in business since 1993 and is located in the beautiful Town of Cary, North Carolina, only 13 miles from downtown Raleigh in the research triangle area. In this role, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with public and private clients across all industries on a local, national and international scale. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in the areas of land development, water resources and environmental engineering.

Responsibilities

· Work closely with other Project Managers and other members of our team to establish project goals and deadlines.

· Plan, design, and construction oversite of a variety of utility water and wastewater projects for municipal, industrial, and private clients.

· Create site layouts, roadways, grading, erosion control and/or stormwater management system plans.

· Develop exhibits, construction drawings and specifications for projects.

· Perform basic engineering calculations.

· Interact directly with public and private clients.

Basic Qualifications

· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a directly related field.

· Must have P.E. license.

· 5 to 10 years of engineering related experience.

· A demonstrated interest in land development, water resources, or environmental engineering.

· Professional experience using either AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or a similar design program.

· Ability to meet project deadlines and budgets.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills to represent McConnell & Associations in a professional manner with clients.

 

Preferred Qualifications

· 5+ years of professional work experience in the area of land development, water resources or environment engineering desirable.

Compensation

MacConnell & Associates offers a competitive compensation plan, including health, dental, retirement plan, paid time off, and eight paid holidays.

Incentives

Meeting monthly billable goals each month is important. There is a drawing to send someone on a trip with two nights hotel paid and a half day off with pay if the first-tier goal is met. If we meet the second tier, there is a drawing for a trip further away with two paid plane tickets, two nights in a hotel, and a half day off with pay.

We try to have company outings once every quarter. Past outings have included concerts, baseball games, rodeo, hockey games, etc.
