We are currently seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney Associate with about 3-5 years of practice in the field to join our thriving law firm in the Triad area of North Carolina.

The ideal candidate preferably has some workers' comp experience, but does not need to have specialized in the field.

Demonstrating exceptional legal insight, strong advocacy skills, and a commitment to securing favorable outcomes for our clients are key attributes we are looking for.

Responsibilities:

Case Management:

Oversee a caseload of workers' compensation matters, encompassing workplace injuries and related claims.
Conduct comprehensive legal research, case analysis, and evaluations to assess the viability of potential claims.
Client Consultation:

Offer empathetic and professional legal counsel during initial consultations.
Communicate clearly to explain legal options, rights, and potential outcomes to clients.
Litigation:

Draft and file various legal documents, such as petitions, motions, discovery requests, and other pleadings.
Manage and respond to discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document requests.
Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
Negotiation and Settlement:

Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing parties.
Collaborate with clients to achieve fair and just resolutions while safeguarding their best interests.
Legal Research and Analysis:

Stay abreast of legal developments, precedents, and industry trends relevant to workers' compensation law.
Utilize legal research tools to fortify legal arguments and strategies.
Collaboration:

Work harmoniously with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to ensure streamlined case management.
Offer mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys, as required.
Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active and in-good-standing membership in the state bar.
3-5 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law with a focus on litigation.
Proven success in handling workers' compensation cases from initiation to resolution.
Strong litigation skills, including courtroom experience and effective client representation.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Detail-oriented with robust organizational and time-management abilities.
