Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
- Manage recruitment of prospective qualified student-athletes.
- Ensure rules and regulations set forth by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and conference are maintained, reviewed, and practiced.
- Maintain competency in rules, rule interpretations, meeting procedures, coaching techniques, and general information about all aspects of golf.
- Maintain accurate statistics, records, and results of the season.
- Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times; establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual athletes.
- Organize and plan all practice sessions, game strategies, and on and off-season conditioning programs. Monitor academic progress and retention of all golf student-athletes.
- Supervise, coordinate, and manage the daily operation of the athletic, physical education, intramural activities, fitness, and wellness facilities on the assigned campus, including the gym, dance studio, weight room, racquetball courts, and other on-campus facilities used for student activities.
- Assist in developing budgets and expenditures for the men’s and women’s golf programs.
- Inspect the facilities, including locker rooms, to ensure safe and sanitary conditions. Communicate with appropriate campus Plant Operations personnel regarding custodial and facilities maintenance issues.
- Keep statistics on all injuries that occur in the facility and produce quarterly and annual safety reports. Safety concerns should be addressed immediately with the dean, associate dean, athletic director, and direct supervisor. Report all injuries according to the appropriate processes and procedures of the college.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Heavy Work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Frequent physical effort required.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in kinesiology or a related field and five (5) years of coaching experience as head or assistant coach at the college, high school level, or equivalent.
Preferred
Master's degree.
Licenses and Certifications
Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or nationally recognized certification) OR must obtain within 60 days of employment.

Salary Minimum
