Provide risk analysis and analytical support for executive decisions of OG&E. Develop and coordinate the company's integrated resource plan. Perform generation and transmission markets analysis including non-traditional resources, purchase power options and asset acquisitions. Prepare testimony and data request responses for regulatory proceedings. Prepare economic analysis of capital projects considered by the utility.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

General responsibilities with standardized processes. Works under limited supervision. Resolves routine questions and problems. Refers the more complex issues to higher levels. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job. Some latitude for deviation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Responsible for the annual maintenance and upkeep of resource planning's generation and transmission databases.

* Perform generation production cost studies, transmission load flow studies and risk analysis including evaluation of alternative capacity sources including co-generation, renewable energy sources and joint ownership generation.

* Assists with developing models to analyze capital projects considered by the utility.

* Assist with response preparation for regulatory agencies, interveners and other similar requests including testimony and exhibits for rate cases and avoided cost filings.

REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics or other technical discipline and 2 years of relevant work experience or

* Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics or other technical discipline.

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Work is performed in an office environment using computer and other office equipment.

* Some out-of-state travel to conferences, committee meetings, workshops and short courses.

* Required to work non-standard hours as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

* Analytical skills including knowledge of computer modeling and ability to create spreadsheet models.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

* Knowledge of software applications to perform analysis and prepare reports.

* Ability to research regulated utility financial structure including NPV analysis, depreciation schedules and revenue requirement calculations.

* Ability to research and learn the theory and practice of electric utility resource planning.

$77,688 - $103,584
