RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be responsible for the supervision of the class, following all safety guidelines and procedures as set forth in the Illinois DCFS regulations, policy manual, and staff handbook.
Provide students’ families with regular communication regarding general classroom activities.
Demonstrate the ability to contribute to each child's physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 60 semester (90 quarter) hours of credits from an accredited college with 6 semester (9 quarter) hours in courses related directly to child care and/ or child development, from birth to age six;
or one year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed child care center and 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of credit from an accredited college or university with 6 semester (9 quarter) hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development from birth to age six;
or completion of a credentialing program (CDA)
