KSEA is currently seeking a Senior Contracts Specialist to join the Revenue Operations Contracts Administration team.

With contracts becoming larger and more complex, expert commercial management practices are playing a more prominent and important role in leading and facilitating KSEA's sales and business operations. The Senior Contracts Specialist will use standardized processes and tools to blend contract compliance with commercial know-how and practicality to focus on contract compliance and risk mitigation, ensuring the protection of KSEA and enhancing commercial objectives.

This position will create, negotiate and incorporate contract amendments, renegotiating the contract, if required, to accommodate scope changes or changes in business goals. This position will also be accountable for ensuring effective implementation of new and renewing contracts through communication and coordination with other functional areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs all aspects of contracting including the review and analysis of proposals, contract negotiations, and preparation of contracts and contract revisions.
  • Negotiates contract and proposal terms and conditions, and administers commercial and government contracts in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Drafts and modifies contract templates/provisions as necessary to address business needs.
  • Identifies contract management issues and recommends resolution.
  • Exercises judgment to independently advise business groups on risks associated with accepting changes to KSEA standard terms and conditions
  • Meets corporate contracting goals including timing, terms, conditions and related criteria.
  • Ensures effective implementation of new and renewing contracts through communication and coordination with other functional areas.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; performs a variety of tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Paralegal experience a plus, JD preferred
  • 5 years minimum experience in Contracting or related area, preferably in a healthcare sales setting.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Specialized subject matter expertise including knowledge of the principles of contracting.
  • Familiarity with commercial concepts, practices, and procedures including a working knowledge of the commercial operations of a sales and marketing organization.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to handle diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced high volume environment.
  • Must be able to interact with management and senior level managers internally and externally.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to identify, manage, negotiate and resolve issues independently.
