Accounts Receivable Clerk

This permanent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk is in the El Paso, Texas area. If you are good at entering, posting and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging reports, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, and updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, this role might be right for you.

Your responsibilities in this role

- Ensure the mission, values, and culture of the organization are supported, conveyed and reinforced

- Respond to requests for information from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders

- Verify the correctness of documents and codes

- Follow standard procedures to perform basic accounting tasks, such as general accounting

- Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

- Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed

- Post and balance financial data in various ledgers to reconcile bank accounts

-Contact customers and resolve any issues

- Command of customer service

- Resolve Customer Service experience

-Bilingual- Solid understanding of Spanish Language

- 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

- High attention to detail

- Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

- High School diploma or equivalent

-Preferred AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
