Machinist B - 2nd shift

To setup and operate machining to perform required machining operations

Responsibilities:

* Set-up and operate cylinder body lathe and saw equipment.

* Perform daily tasks to produce parts, including but not limited to, loading/unloading equipment, gathering materials/components, and positioning work area.

* Utilize various hand tools, specialty tools, and basic measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks.

* Perform visual inspection of parts and reviews basic blueprints/diagrams to ensure components are being manufactured in accordance with the part specification.

* Complete various types of paperwork related to production reporting.

* Perform the required duties in accordance safety guidelines and lean principles.

* Clean equipment and work area.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or G.E.D

* 3-5 years of previous machining experience preferred

* Basic computer skills required

* Basic math skills required

* Basic understanding of gauging / measuring devices required

* Basic blueprint understanding required

* Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
