Finance Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

The Finance intern will assist with actual financial reporting, variance analysis, robust process building (including documentation), and ad-hoc P&L project work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete variance analysis for operating expenses in the month end close process and assist in forecasting processes as needed.
• Assist in the building of P&L's that will allow the business to manage financial goals.
• Work through data cleansing to ensuring that all expenses are charged to the correct cost center(s).
• Investigate and analyze opportunity areas for cost improvements.

Critical Competencies

• Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include Finance, Accounting, or Data Science related areas.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Must maintain confidential information.
