We are seeking a Product Owner to join our innovative and creative team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Product Owner will work with users, business stakeholders and Product leadership to identify, prioritize, design, develop, document, and test new features as a key member of a growing software team. They will also contribute to and support the ongoing Product vision, while leading the application of that vision into the Product roadmap.Success in this role will contribute to real, measurable cost savings for our clients and make a meaningful impact towards carbon emissions reduction across the US.

• Develop product vision and roadmap in concert with Product leadership and other stakeholders.
• Maintain and refine product backlog; creates user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritizes all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy.
• Create thorough requirements documentation for user stories, features and enhancements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the development and testing teams and stakeholders.
• Act as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders.
• Manage the product throughout the software development lifecycle, evaluating progress and performance from discovery to production.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience of relevant industry experience or as a product manager for software-based solutions.
• Demonstrated success working with engineering teams to plan, develop, refine, and launch successful software products.
• Knowledge and experience in utility energy efficiency program design and implementation.
• Knowledge and experience in building energy modeling and simulation , e.g. eQuest, DOE2 and EnergyPlus.
• Familiarity with an understanding of energy codes and standards, e.g. IECC. ASHRAE 90.1, and California Title 24.
• Ability to research and explore product and feature opportunities and user experience improvement.
• Tenacious problem solver with an ability to develop simple and intuitive solutions to often complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Able to quickly adapt to change and navigate ambiguous problem spaces.
• Self-starter and ability to work with little instructions and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to travel up to 20% in the future.
