The IT Business Solutions Intern is responsible for supporting the backend developers in ways that will allow them to learn and develop real work experience alongside their education.

*Employees are expected to adhere to all rules and regulations applicable to this position, including but not limited to all policies and procedures pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

* Work as part of a team in the development and support of applications

* Create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing product offerings and processes

* Innovate creative solutions to challenging problems

* Work effectively as a team member, participating actively and constructively

* Display a professional manner in dealing with supervisors, coworkers, members, and others inside and outside the credit union

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

* Education

o Candidate must be in pursuit of a degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, cybersecurity or have relevant development experience and a desire to pursue software development professionally.

* Experience

o Has experience developing and debugging

o Having experience with objected-oriented programming is helpful but not required

o Having experience with scripting languages like python

* Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

o Having knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL is preferred but not required

o Has strong problem-solving skills

o Demonstrates initiative

o Takes direction well

o Displays professionalism

o Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts

o Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership
