Barista

Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate espresso and tea orders using friendly and personalized service. Performs other duties as required. THIS IS A TIPPED POSITION.

Essential Job Functions
Provide personable and efficient service to our Guests while adhering to

• Correct food and beverage specifications
• Correct pouring, recipes, measures, and garnishes
• Specified glassware and to go packaging
• Correct presentation and service of all food
• Set up and maintain all operations within the barista station
• Ensure excellent cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Maintain proper levels of stock throughout shift including barista supplies and product
• Perform all closing duties and make certain the barista station is clean and ready for the next shift
• Complete transactions using the POS system
• Participate in weekly and monthly inventories as scheduled by management
• Assist in the ordering of supplies for Barista station
• Properly fill all to-go orders
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management
• Attend all scheduled staff meetings
• Read and follow posted shift schedules
• Abide by Taste of Belgium Uniform and Grooming Guidelines
• Follow all rotation procedures to ensure freshness of products including the maintenance of all coolers

Requirements

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Position requires frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs, bending and twisting
• Heavy lifting of up to 25 lbs may be required
• Minimum of 1year of barista experience in high volume atmosphere
• Excellent guest service skills
• Team player attitude
• Ability to multi-task
