Job Summary:
This position is responsible for operating all equipment on a packaging line and instruct general laborers and cutters keeping production efficiencies in line. This position requires leadership skills with strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, safety, timekeeping and personal conduct rules.
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee and maintain operation of designated packaging line including set up, change over and take down of equipment.
• Review packaging schedule to understand what is needed for set up of the line each day.
• Communicate and manage schedules, vats used, & boxes needed.
• Must be able to use various types of equipment to run the line: Vemag, point speed, scale, metal detector.
• Install proper top and bottom film, put on labels.
• Operation of and certification for forklift and pallet jack operation.
• Strict adherence to GMPs; Keep area clean.
• Adjust runs and tie out orders to manage the line.
• Monitor Give Away and CPM ticker board.
• Strict adherence to Safety/PPE protocols and procedures; reporting unsafe conditions to plant management.
• Accurate recordkeeping and specific paperwork.

• Verbal and written communication skills; including ability to read, understand and follow written procedures (SOPs).
• Flexibility in job roles, assisting team mates along with covering breaks when needed to meet business needs.
• Meet physical demands of role. Honest and high level of Integrity, high degree of personal hygiene per GMPs, dependable attendance to meet business demands.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
• Moderately strenuous work involving standing, walking, frequent bending, twisting, pushing, and squatting; Repetitive lifting of up to 50+ lbs.
• Fast-paced clean environment; frequently cool, wet, with moderate noise and working with chemicals
