Manufacturing Engineer

Southworth Products, Inc., located in Manila, Arkansas, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer.

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with the following skills and abilities:

Primary Functions:

1. Support Service Field Department by supervising installation of products at the customers facility.
2. Provide Customer Service Support including site visits to evaluate and resolve problems.
3. Check orders as released from Design Engineering for errors, functionability, and manufacturability.
4. Resolve manufacturing issues on the plant floor.
5. Conduct time & motion studies to improve manufacturing efficiency.
6. Determine tool and fixture needs for current and future production requirements.
7. Continuous Improvement
8. Capital Projects

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field. (Electrical Engineering preferred)
2. 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
3. Working knowledge of CAD (Solidworks preferred)
4. Programmable Logic Controller programming experience is preferred.
5. Ability to efficiently troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems from schematics.
6. Thorough knowledge of hydraulic power systems and controls.
7. Working knowledge of welding and steel fabrication techniques.
8. Robotic welding knowledge and experience is a bonus.
9. Strong analytical skills.
10. Excellent project management skills.
11. Must be able to perform and manage multiple tasks at once, able to work without direct supervision and willing to work flexible hours.
12. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
13. Travel required.
14. Must be able to bend, twist, reach and grasp with fingers.
