Machine Operator- 1st Shift 4:30am-3:30pm

We are seeking multiple, reliable, and motivated full-time Machine Operators for a food manufacturing facility located on the Southwest side of Chicago, IL. This role is temporary with the potential to become permanent for individuals who perform well.

Compensation: $17/hr

1st Shift: 4:30am- 3:30pm

• Facility operates 24 hours
• Must be available Monday- Friday but will only be scheduled 4 of the 5 days. The day off each week will vary each week.
• 10-hour shifts

Machine Operator/Production Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs accurate setups on equipment in preparation for product runs.
• Operate machinery used in the production process to produce packaged goods that conform to quality and food safety standards.
• Use basic machine controls, computer and/or tablet interfaces to control machines and communicate information.
• Replenish packaging supplies, such as paper, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
• Inspects and tests packages, and documents results to ensure equipment is operating correctly and meeting quality specifications.
• Stages and checks required materials for quick and accurate changeovers in production.
• Completes and assembles all required documentation associated with the position.
• Maintains works area in a clean and organized manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties are likely to include package assembly, stacking, and moving items manually or using pallet jacks.

Required Qualifications:

• High School or GED
• At least one year of Machine Operator experience is required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to be able to understand the design of a machine and its functionalities.
