The NEW Moxy Madison Downtown is hiring 3rd shift Bartender/Guest Service! This role will welcome guests, prepare drinks, close down the bar and then stay a little longer for behind the scenes responsibilities.
** Starting wage for this position is $16.00-$18.00 per hour plus gratuity but final wage will be based on experience**
As the very first Moxy in the state of Wisconsin, this fun hotel brand boldly breaks the rules of a conventional hotel stay starting with check-in at the Bar.

How do I make an impact on my team?
- Prepares beverages and food requested by customers or servers according to standard operating procedures.
- Has complete knowledge of the menus, including preparation time, approximate portion size and serving procedures.
- Follows alcohol awareness training process to monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption.
- Promotes house drinks and food utilizing suggestive selling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues.
- Promptly handle guest service requests and guest complaints to meet and exceed guest expectations
- Use computer system to make reservations, check-in and check-out property guests, process payments
- Daily audit, balance, post and report on front desk, rooms, and food and beverage cash and credit operations ensuring accuracy of the property's financial and accounting records and process departmental reports
- Perform tasks such as answering phones, maintain a cash drawer, operate office equipment
What does success look like in this role?
- Ability to work overnight from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a. m.
- Must have 1 year of hotel front desk experience
- Understanding of general accounting practices and ability to compile facts and figures
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated to maintain excellent customer service reputation
- Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-up abilities
- Reliability and honesty
- Desire to contribute to a supportive and effective team
- Ability to be patient and creatively problem solve
