We are currently seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at FFP, a Florida-based company that has been providing natural, plant-based food and beverage ingredient solutions for over 65 years. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking Maintenance Mechanic who can help us maintain all our facilities' installations. Our Maintenance Mechanic will work in a dynamic and challenging environment, ensuring that our manufacturing processes run as efficiently as possible. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work in a team environment, providing support to production staff, and fulfilling a broad range of maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Verify the operating conditions of equipment using mechanical and technical drawings
  • Predict faulty machinery by using advanced analytics and diagnostic tools to test and troubleshoot machinery
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in implementing preventive maintenance plans and schedules
  • Repair and provide solutions for electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment
  • Operate, maintain and repair various types of machines and equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ensure that all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems are functioning correctly, and repairs are made promptly when required
  • Collaborate with other production teams and colleagues shifting priorities to prevent production downtime.
  • Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades
  • Locating problems through close observation of machinery and staff practices

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred
  • Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems; specialized expertise in mechanical and electrical systems a plus
  • Ability to read mechanical and technical drawings
  • Clear understanding of preventive maintenance plans and schedules
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
  • Experienced working with Electrical System up to 480 VAC
  • Experienced working with VFD's
