Job Title: Receptionist

Compensation: $18/hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Location: Fully onsite, Philadelphia, PA

Position Summary:

This position provides general office support. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff, greeting visitors, performs housecleaning duties necessary to maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep and/or cleaning of the soda fountain machine, acts as a cashier for store items.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them in person or on the phone, answering or referring to inquiries.
  • Accepts deliveries.
  • Directs visitors and/or members to the appropriate staff.
  • Acts as the store cashier when supplies are purchased at the front counter.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area.
  • Maintains a professional, courteous attitude.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Additional administrative duties, as necessary.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required:

  • Reception experience
  • Professionalism – Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills must be top-notch.
  • Time management – Knowing how to effectively make use of time at work.
  • Physical organization – Keeping the front desk area free from all clutter, appropriate filing/record-keeping, and managing own physical resources.
  • Mental organization – Concentration, focus, and memory.
  • Team player – Ability to assist other administrative staff with overflow work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and a willingness and ability to learn other programs as needed.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma.
