Catholic musician/organist at the AFB (Part-Time)

Job Overview: Far Gov is looking for an experienced Catholic musician/organist /cantor to provide musical support for the Scott chapel in AFB IL.
•Job Position: Catholic Musician •Location: South Dr, Scott AFB, IL 62225•Schedule: Part-Time/ Weekends, 5 hours a week
Requirements & Duties:
Catholic Musician must:
1-Have at least two years of recent experience (professional or volunteer) as a musician
at a church or military chapel.
2-The contractor must provide a signed letter from the Priest of the contract
employee's Catholic Church indicating that the contract employee is in good standing.
3-Cantor for masses, or recruit and train a volunteer to cantor, for regularly
scheduled weekend (52) services, Holy Days of Obligation (15), and special services
(Average of 5 per year) as determined by the Catholic liturgical calendar and in coordinationwith the Catholic Priest.
4-Perform services to include playing the piano and/or organ, vocal proficiency,
sight reading, select instrumental, and choral music relating to the liturgical seasons, rite,orsacrament being celebrated.
5-Perform in one Catholic service per week on Sunday, and one rehearsal during the
week-totaling two functions. Provide 12 functions per month (on average) including specialservices.
6-Responsible for returning praise and worship equipment used in performance of duties.
