Join our team as a QUALITY TECHNICIAN and be responsible for ensuring all Reily Foods products meet all our customer and regulatory standards! We're family owned and have a passion for flavor providing iconic coffee and tea beverages that have created memories for over 120 years!
Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform all quality checks, understand product specifications, and complete relevant testing in their assigned Quality Area
- Utilize Digital Production System (Redzone) to complete quality compliance documents, launch ad hoc data sheets and communicate with support functions
- Responsible for understanding all food safety and legal requirements related to their assigned Quality Area
- Monitor and ensure production checks are completed for their area
- Maintains the ability to calibrate and use all quality equipment for their area
- Responsible for learning and maintaining customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality
- Assist in cupping and other lab functions as needed
- Reports any product deficiencies, food or safety concerns to supervisor
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and assists with product change overs
- Follows all safety procedures and participates in safety training; maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition
- Supports and complies with GMP’s; understands and follows emergency action plan
- Supports food safety, quality and legality
- Ensures the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of machine quality or food production experience preferred
- Knowledge of GFSI audit schemes, such as BRC and SQF and understanding of legal food safety requirements
- Technical skills include the ability to calibrate testing equipment, using RedZone manufacturing software, and become certified in one area of Quality
- Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication, good time management skills and the ability to follow rules and directions
- Leadership skills include a positive attitude, being a team player and self-leadership
