Pinon Unified School District is seeking a motivated and dedicated elementary school teacher to join our team. As an elementary school teacher, you will play a vital role in helping our students achieve academic success and develop essential skills for their future. With over 30 years of experience in providing the best education to our community, Pinon Unified School District is committed to hiring exceptional educators who share our mission.

Our school district started in 1984 as Piñon Elementary School, serving 400 students under Cedar Public School District No. 25. After just two years, we became an independent district, offering education from preschool through grade 12 at three campuses. Since then, we have grown in size and reputation, dedicated to providing a high-quality education in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that align with state standards and meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction and providing feedback as necessary.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to support student learning and engagement.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • State teaching certification for elementary education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing lesson plans and activities for elementary students.
  • Ability to use technology effectively for instruction and student assessment.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
