Fleet Mechanic

1 Resource Group is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic/ Diesel Mechanic for fleet services to join our clients. This is a direct hire position with great benefits. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of vehicles including automobiles, trucks, 18 wheelers, forklifts, and heavy equipment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training or formal schooling in auto mechanics is a plus
• Experience with repairs of large trucks, forklifts, and heavy equipment
• Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and test vehicles
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records
• Strong understanding of gasoline, diesel, and propane engines
• Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical systems of vehicles
• Proficiency in using a variety of hand and powered shop tools
• Adherence to safety procedures and occupational hazards
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
