Snack Bar Cook

Prepare items required for his or her workstation according to instructions from snack bar supervisor. Prepare products assigned to workstation during service. Muist be able to read tickets & execute in a timely matter.

  1. Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
  1. Prepares meats, seafood, burgers, and chicken required for line and special function purposes.
  2. Carefully follow recipes and instructions and be sure to adhere to proper temperature guidelines.
  3. Uses food preparation equipment according to manufacturers’ instructions.
  4. Cleans workstation and wears gloves when handling food items.
  5. Be able to lift 20 pounds or more.
  6. Monitors temperatures in freezer and refrigerator.
  7. Returns unused food products to proper storage areas.
  8. All food items need to be wrapped properly, counted, and frozen items pulled for the next day’s service.
  9. Filter and clean fryers every day and change the oil as necessary.
  10. Assists with preparation of other food products on serving line as needed.
  11. Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices including those related to personal hygiene.
  12. Returns soiled food preparation utensils and other small wares to the proper areas.
  13. Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the cooking area and equipment.
  14. Completes other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Snack Bar Supervisor.
