David Zwirner is seeking a highly motivated Exhibitions & Production Intern for our Internship Program. Qualified candidates should be proficient in Adobe Suite, and previous experience with Sketchup and/or Rhino is a plus. An ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and have a keen interest in understanding artists' methods and materials. Individuals who have completed or are completing a BFA are highly encouraged to apply.

Primary duties include:

Building physical scale models and various visual materials for gallery exhibitions.

  • Creating digital architectural models, 3D renderings, and detailed floor plans in Sketchup and Rhinoceros 3-D.
  • Assisting with and learning about Audio-visual equipment and installation for gallery artworks.
  • Contributing to production projects for gallery artists and gallery exhibitions as needed, including researching local vendors and fabricators and sourcing artists' materials.
  • Documenting and organizing artwork installation information and assisting with the completion of artwork installation manuals.
  • Designing and crafting other exhibition-related visual materials including infographics pertaining to production and internal exhibition maps.
  • Assisting with updating inventory records, project-based spreadsheets, and exhibition and production calendars.

To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of 3 months, with a minimum of 3 full days per week. Hours are 10AM –6PM, Monday through Friday, with additional hours for occasional events and openings. All interns are paid New York State minimum wage of $16/hour.
