The Senior Software Test Engineer will spearhead the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks focused on our JavaScript, React.js, NodeJS stack, and related technologies. You'll collaborate with software engineers and product teams to define test strategies, automate testing processes, and ensure the integrity and performance of RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and Docker containerized applications. Your expertise will not only drive the efficiency and effectiveness of our testing processes but also shape our testing culture and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of automated test frameworks and scripts with a focus on JavaScript technologies, utilizing Jest, Puppeteer, and other relevant tools
  • Create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases and scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and security of React.js, NodeJS applications, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless execution of tests during builds and deployments
  • Work closely with development teams to identify, document, and resolve bugs. Prioritize bug fixes to maintain high software quality standards
  • Promote best practices in test automation, contributing to the enhancement of testing methodologies and tools
  • Mentor junior engineers in test automation techniques and best practices
  • Stay updated on new testing tools, strategies, and industry trends, integrating innovative approaches to improve test automation and coverage

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with significant focus on test automation and database technologies
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and Puppeteer
  • Strong background in testing React.js, NodeJS applications, Docker containers, RESTful APIs, and microservice architectures
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins), and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor
