Branch Manager

Job Description

Wholesale Pump & Supply, Inc. is seeking a Branch Manager with a background in the groundwater/water well pump and supply market. This position will involve running day-to-day operations of the Mobile, AL branch, coordinating with the outside sales staff, and handling both vendor and customer related sales, warranty, and delivery issues. Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong mechanical aptitude and can excel while managing a variety of customer types. Candidate must be a self-motivator and work with minimal supervision.

Experience & Skills

➢ Minimum 2 years of management experience in the water well, groundwater, industrial, commercial, or municipal freshwater water or wastewater pump market. However, industrial or municipal project management experience will be considered.

  ➢ Water well and/or submersible pump knowledge is a plus.

➢ Plumbing/piping products knowledge is a plus.

➢ Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematical calculations and formulas.

➢ A working knowledge of basic electrical theory and the ability to use a multimeter with all functions is a plus.

➢ Strong understanding of groundwater pumping problems and applying the correct solutions.

➢ Knowledge of our type of product lines is a plus, but not required.

➢ Candidate must be open minded, be able to use critical thinking skills to solve technical problems and utilize problem solving strategies with difficult customers or situations. 

Essential Functions:

➢ Build strong working relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.

➢ Schedule and attend meetings to review outside sales staff weekly activities and sales reports.

➢ Responsible for weekly sales performance reports to the sales manager.

➢ Be able to manage the branch territory and communicate that information to corporate staff in a weekly meeting.

➢ Ensure all customer issues are handled in a timely manner.

➢ This ideal candidate is motivated to make the branch run efficiently as possible while generating profit margin.

➢ Maintain an accurate inventory of product and order needed products on time and in proper quantity.

➢ Must have good customer service skills, must be able to operate with minimal supervision, and communicate. efficiently and effectively with clients and WPS personnel.

➢ Should have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

➢ Become proficient with the WPS computer systems Epicor Prelude and PHOCAS.

➢ A clean and valid driver’s license is required.

➢ Must be able to pass a random drug test.

Salary & Benefits

This position has a base salary with a goal attained bonus structure. The chosen candidate will be issued a company truck (for work use only), cell phone, laptop, and company credit card. Position includes health insurance, 401K, and profit sharing.
