CNC Programmer / Machinist - Direct Hire

Job Responsibilities:
The CNC Programmer II is responsible for all CNC programs for manufacturing equipment directly impacting the overall performance objectives for the company and compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP requirements and/or division. This position significantly impacts our ability in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is a Non-Exempt hourly technical position.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ability to write programs that will machine complex parts to very close tolerances on multiple axes on various machining centers.
• Horizontal Machining Centers including Macro, sub program and variable programming knowledge.
• 4 axis lathes, 5 axis lathes, Y axis lathes, and Vertical Machining Centers large and small
• "Shop Floor" problem solving.
• Kaizen participation such as SMDE, VSM, 5s, etc.
• Maintain program library's and revision status of program revisions per NADCAP requirements.
• Hands on knowledge of the programs storage and the ability to assist shop associates in uploading and downloading programs.

Job Requirements, Capabilities, and Success Factors:

• This position requires the applicant to be a US Person with a US permanent residence, A US Person is a US Citizen, or Green card holder
• Bachelor degree in a technical field desired or 5+ years of manufacturing or industrial technical field, programming CNC equipment is required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to extract critical data and analyze data to make informed business decisions
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plus
• Excellent computer skills (CAD/CAM, Auto Cad, ShopCam, Solid Works, Master Cam word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)
• Skilled in- G and M code editing, Macro style programming, multi axis function(s) and Fanuc/Okuma/Mazak controllers
• Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
• Self starter working with little direct supervision
• Team orientated with the ability to influence others without authority
