Norwood School District is a small business in Norwood, CO. We are professional, agile and our goal is to Come and join our team! The Norwood Public School District is located in Norwood, CO providing public education to under 200 students, PreK-12, from the West End of San Miguel and Montrose County. Norwood is located in the heart of ranching country surrounded by mountainous landscapes with the Lone Cone and San Juan Mountain ranges to the South/East and the LaSal mountains of Utah standing in the West. We are approximately 45 minutes away from the Telluride Ski Resort, 1 hour from Ouray (known as the "Switzerland of America") and 2 hours from Moab, UT. While amenities such as fast food and retail or grocery shopping chains are not immediately accessible and will prove to be a long excursion, our locally owned small businesses provide the necessities and the area as a whole provides locals and tourists with some of the most scenic areas in Southwest Colorado and an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities! .

Overview:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Principal to join our educational institution. As the Principal, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our school community. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the overall operations of the school, including academic programs, staff, and facilities

- Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the school's mission and goals are met

- Supervise and evaluate teachers and staff members to maintain high standards of education

- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes student success and well-being

- Collaborate with parents, students, and community stakeholders to enhance the educational experience

- Oversee budgeting and financial management to ensure efficient use of resources

- Conduct regular meetings with staff to provide guidance and support

- Stay updated on educational trends and best practices to continuously improve the school's programs

Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in education administration, preferably in a senior leadership role

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including public speaking abilities

- Proven track record in managing and educating diverse student populations

- Experience in strategic planning and implementing innovative educational initiatives

- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment practices

- Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members
