Childcare Center Teacher

Responsibilities include:

• Providing basic care for children which includes feeding, grooming, and changing diapers.
• Developing and implementing planned lessons using available curriculum & resources
• Reinforcing positive behavior, high expectations, and good manners.
• Tracking Development of student’s progress using the GOLD student assessment system and communicating with parents to provide daily updates on children.
• Using various learning methods such as stories, games, and drawing to intellectually stimulate children.
• Attending staff meetings, conferences, and workshops.
• Holding regular parent-teacher meetings to address any issues, concerns, or parent complaints.
• Providing a warm, safe, and sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Early Childhood Ancillary Certification (or eligible to receive)
• Proven experience working as a childcare teacher or eager to learn
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
• Clear child care criminal background check.
• Understanding of childhood development.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Attentiveness and Patience with children
• Early Childhood Education Experience preferred…or related field
• Certification in Pediatric First Aide and CPR Preferred
• Provide a resume with references

• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
