Job Description
Effectively synthesizes risk management events, reports, and insurance claims. Interfaces with senior leaders, physicians, nursing staff and hospital staff to identify organizational vulnerabilities and intervene appropriately. Directs and advises internal and external clients in a manner consistent with the established risk management plan and excellent service standards.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High School Diploma/ GED Required
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Minimum 2+ years work experience in a hospital risk management office setting.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook email, use of telephone, with advanced clerical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
- Able to effectively communicate in oral and written English language.
- Able to effectively navigate the electronic health record.
- Other certification requirements as defined by the certification policy.
PREFERRED
- Master’s Degree Preferred
- Bi or Multilingual
- Prefer 3-5 years of experience in a clinical role as RN or equivalent
- Prefer 3-5 years of experience in a hospital quality or risk management
- department.
- Certification in project management, risk management, or patient safety within 36 months of hire.
