Job Description
If you're looking for some extra income and have weekend evenings free, come join the team at Bayou Haven Weddings and Events where we host weddings every Friday and Saturday night of the year! Come join the team as a Venue Manager where you will do a little of everything to help ensure the wedding is the PERFECT day for our couples!
- Administrative Oversight: The Venue Manager is responsible for overseeing the weddings that take place at the venue.
- Team Coordination: Managing and coordinating the venue staff to ensure they are working together to make the wedding day the most perfect day possible for our wedding couples. This includes assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing support as needed.
- Communication: Serving as a liaison between the bride, her family, and employees, and facilitating clear communication within the team.
- Policy Implementation: Implementing and enforcing company policies to ensure a positive and compliant work environment.
Primary expectations of the Leadership Role:
- Available to work some Friday and most all Saturday evenings.
- Hours are typically from around 1:30 pm - 11:30 pm or midnight.
- Pay is hourly with Event and Yearly bonuses added!
General Duties include:
- Primary contact for Bride & the Family on Day of Weddings
- Responsible for scheduling of personnel to ensure all events are fully staffed
- New Hire Staff Training & Direction of current team
- General hosting / venue preparation and staging
- Oversees Bartending Staff and Bartending Staff Training
After wedding concludes, cleanup and preparation for next wedding. General duties include overseeing the team as well as your participation in the following:
- Table & chair pickup as needed to sweep and mop floors
- Cleanup of Kitchen and Bar Area
- Cleanup and mopping out of Chapel and public spaces
- Cleaning and sanitizing of all Bathrooms
- Cleanup of Bridal Suite and Groom’s Parlor
- Collection of all Rental items and placed back into Rental Gallery
If a wedding is scheduled the next day, oversee the staff for preparation and setup for the event.
- Setup of tables and chairs
- Placement of Tablecloths onto tables (if rented)
- Pull any rented items and place out for the next day
