Summary - We are a small team of 2 videographer/photographers and 2 graphic designers that work very closely with Army personnel, specifically the 1st Infantry Division Public Affairs Office. Our job is intertwined around the Soldiers on the Fort Riley Base. In correlation with the location, employees will have to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) that will allow you onto base regularly. The Videographer will be asked to shoot b-roll and/or interviews most often. Other scenarios may include ceremony photos, event coverage, sporting, etc. Occasionally, you would get to video the big stuff, meaning tanks, helicopters, soldiers at gunnery ranges, and 'Army training', with special attention to safety. After filming, you would also be the editor of videos to be created for publication on YouTube, IG Reels, or Facebook (not limited to these) either alone or in collaboration with others. This team is on contract under ISC - International Service Contractors. 

Responsible for all production elements the PAO office’s publications and/or printed materials.

Provide Photographer and Videographer support to the PAO. This task requirement will be responsible for creating high-quality motion graphics, animation and video. In this position, I will write, research and execute all phases of production, from pre-production planning and scheduling, shooting and editing, to final delivery.

Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production.

Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment. Proficient with editing, sound mixing, and final production requirements.

Supports the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects, creating graphics, and presenting to client.

Deliver timely, efficient support to photojournalist services in order to provide support for news releases, in-depth news and feature articles, copy/edit services, publication layout.

Assist with the distribution approved Public Affairs command information messages through radio, video and television, catalogs media archives and audio/visual equipment user level maintenance.

Assist in providing hometown news release services which include, but are not limited to the following:

Assist the PAO in offering every Soldier the opportunity for a news release upon deployment/mobilization, for redeployment/demobilization, and for any special recognition (Purple Heart, other awards) while deploying/mobilizing or redeploying/demobilizing.
Assists in developing interview questions and storyboards.

Assists in maintaining social media requirements.

Assist with VIP visits and coverage
Other duties as assigned.
