Manufacturing Safety Coordinator

Our corporate office in Alliance, Ohio currently has an opening for a full-time Safety Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
  • Working with management and employees to drive health and safety programs, contractor safety programs, incident reporting, hazard communication, safe work practices, emergency response, and other safety policies and programs.
  • Creating and conducting safety training, toolbox talks and customer specific safety training.
  • Maintaining all safety and training documentation records.
  • Updating and enforcing Morgan safety policies to comply with OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Utilizing ISNetworld to track company compliance with customer’s sites
  • 60% in office/training/compliance, 40% hands-on in the shop

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines
  • Experience in reporting and developing policies
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Willingness to travel as needed
