SUMMARY: As a Product Engineer you will play a pivotal role in new projects, play a crucial role in updating current ones, and actively participate in shaping future projects. This position serves as the vital link between our valued customers and our operational processes. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of automotive engineering, hands-on experience with AutoCAD and IATF standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as the primary point of contact for our customers regarding any updates or changes to the product design. Engage with customers to understand their requirements, provide updates, and address inquiries related to product design. Collaborate closely with the operational team to communicate and implement changes effectively. Ensure seamless information flow between the customer's expectations and the operational team's execution. Update and maintain accurate documentation, including technical specifications and design changes. Ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and accessible. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate customer feedback and design changes into the manufacturing process. Facilitate communication between various departments to ensure a unified approach in implementing product updates. Proactively identify and address any potential issues related to product design changes. Work towards timely resolution of challenges, keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront. Ability to oversee and manage multiple projects at a time and prioritize work. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and suggestions for optimizing product design processes. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance overall product engineering capabilities. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that product design changes meet established quality standards. Participate in design reviews and quality control processes to uphold product integrity. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities initially. In the future responsibilities could include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in the engineering field. 7+ years of automotive product engineering experience. (casting, machining, injection molding, clean standard, Millipore, etc.) Experience with 3D CAD software and blueprints. Experience with Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). Advanced analytical and design skills Relevant training and/or certifications as a Product Engineer Excellent written and verbal communication skills
