Construction Superintendent

Job Title: Construction Superintendent Location: Nashville, TN. Job Description: We are currently seeking two experienced Construction Superintendents who embody our company culture and possess a strong fit in terms of knowledge and ethos. As key members of our team, the successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in technological tools such as PlanGrid and iPad applications to efficiently manage project documentation and communication. Project Management Expertise: Possess a combination of extensive experience and solid years in managing construction projects ranging from $5-10 million. Experience across various sectors including industrial, manufacturing, commercial, healthcare, institutional, remodels, buildouts, and ground-ups is essential. Effective Communication: Display excellent communication skills, fostering efficient collaboration with project managers, general superintendents, subcontractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Commitment to Safety: Prioritize safety on-site, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and taking proactive measures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. While OSHA 30 certification is not mandatory, candidates should be willing to obtain it immediately if not already possessed. Daily Coordination: Coordinate daily activities, providing updates on budget and schedule projections to project managers for the upcoming two weeks. Subcontractor Management: Demonstrate strong experience in managing multiple subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project schedules and quality standards. Interview Process: Engage in a multi-stage interview process, starting with the General Superintendent and Owner, followed by meetings with project managers. Interviews may be scheduled flexibly to accommodate candidates' current work commitments. Hands-On Management: Act as the boots on the ground, overseeing day-to-day operations including financial management, scheduling, quality control, and ensuring adherence to project scope and specifications. Detail Orientation: Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, particularly in quality control processes such as drywall finishing, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship are maintained. Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting the company's commitment to excellence and professionalism in the construction industry. Qualifications: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in construction management Strong technical proficiency in construction management software and tools, including PlanGrid and iPad applications. Proven track record in managing $5-10 million projects across various sectors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Commitment to safety and willingness to obtain OSHA 30 certification if not already possessed. No degree requirement; experience and skills are paramount. Onboarding Process: Upon hiring, new employees will undergo comprehensive training, including OSHA certification if necessary, acclimation in the office, and project familiarization before transitioning to their assigned projects. Compensation: Salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
