Experienced Tool Maker - $1500 Sign On Bonus! $32-36/hr DOE plus relocation assistance if needed! CPS Recruitment is partnering with a forward-thinking organization in the Chicago, IL area to find an adept and experienced Tool Maker to craft, rework, and assemble an array of specialized tools, molds, and fixtures of intricate design. This pivotal role encompasses repair activities, meticulous maintenance, and collaboration with the Quality and Engineering departments to ensure seamless molding operations. $32-36/hr DOE + benefits and growth opportunity! 1st Shift - 7am-3:30pm Responsibilities:Coordinate and schedule mold maintenance. Utilize various precision tools to inspect, clean, and optimize equipment before, during, and after molding operations. Adjust equipment settings to guarantee quality production within specifications. Diagnose and conduct repairs and modifications to dies, molds, and tools. Interpret blueprints and complex schematics to craft new fixtures, tools, and machine parts. Leverage CAD software for design creation and blueprint transformation. Inspect completed tools and dies to ensure functionality. Collaborate with supervisors and technicians daily, attending production meetings as required. Engage in production planning and additional assigned duties. Requirements:CNC programming or operation skills considered a plus. Prior industrial production experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment. Aptitude for multitasking and eagerness to cross-train. Capacity to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions. Positive attitude, adaptability, and a keen learning mindset. Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills. Flexibility for a varied schedule and potential overtime/on-call duties. Education & Experience:High School Diploma or GED required; Journeyman Toolmaker papers preferred. Equivalent education/experience considered.
