Job Summary:

As an Estimator/PM you will lead RFP bids to ensure precise project cost estimates. Your role involves expert quantity take-offs and proficiency in all relevant CSI divisions. Craft detailed scopes of work from bid documents, assess bids for compliance and develop budgets for various bid types. As the driving force behind the bidding process, you'll oversee projects from inception to successful completion.

Duties:

• Perform accurate, thorough, and timely quantity takeoffs and prepare bid proposals by reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Analyze plans to determine material, equipment, and labor requirements.
• Accurately assess plan takeoff workload.
• Obtain clarification on plans and specifications from architects and engineers when necessary.
• Administer all aspects of the project including, submittal packages, change orders, RFIs, etc.
• Work with vendors to obtain material pricing, purchase orders and deliveries.
• Attend Job Walks and other meetings as necessary.
• Develop accurate and concise clarifications and assumptions.
• Solicit and analyze vendor pricing input when required.
• Ensure the estimating process runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Perform technical/plan review when necessary.
• Manage large jobs with minimal supervision.
• Develop and track project schedules.
• Work with architects and clients in a time-sensitive environment.
• Visit Job sites to attend meetings, review job progress, and address any issues.
• Maintain current material pricing to ensure the pricing structure of all products and services are profitable and competitive.
• Meet productivity goals for bids produced, bids won, and margin of error.
• Review bids to confirm the inclusion of all addendums and accuracy.
• Review RFI’s to determine if they affect the scope and generate as needed.
• Submit completed billing SOV to Accounting monthly indicating job completion percentages.
• Execute and transmit Masonry submittals prior to job start
• Participate with other company personnel in establishing, setting, and attaining goals for the business to develop new methods, techniques, systems, and ideas to improve the performance of the company.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Estimating and Project Management in Masonry Construction required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or related field experience a plus
• Knowledge of Sage 100 Contractor or other Construction Management Software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Constantly strive to improve capabilities, performance and expand knowledge of construction technologies.

• Ability to work effectively both with and without supervision on a broad variety of projects.
