ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily once they have been fully trained.
· Lead electrical activities for new equipment development, efficiency improvement initiatives, and periodic equipment maintenance.
· Develop and program manufacturing technologies such as:
o PLC ladder logic programming including Omron and Allen Bradley.
o HMI’s including Pro-face, Omron, and Rockwell/Allen Bradley.
o Camera vision systems including Omron, Cognex, and Keyence.
o Robot controls including UR, Fanuc, and Motoman.
o VFD/three-phase motor controls.
· Assist with the design and fabrication of equipment and automation; analyze and recommend potential improvements to existing equipment or manufacturing processes.
· Support maintenance team with analysis of machine breakdowns or repeat equipment failures.
· Implement and maintain quality control practices.
· Project development and implementation:
o Acquire cost estimates, risk assessment, estimate return-on-investment, and submit project proposals for approval.
o Coordinate project development and monitor against proposed timetable.
o Communicate project development progress with management and manufacturing teams. 
QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics degree preferred, or equivalent career experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Fluent spoken and written English. Ability to convey complex concepts to a wider audience.
REASONING ABILITY:
Root cause analysis. Identify electrical and controls system weaknesses, develop an action plan, and track corrective actions and their impact.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Microsoft Office proficiency.
OTHER ATTRIBUTES:
High level of integrity and accountability. Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
