Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year (hourly role)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (In Office)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

A dynamic and growing company in the aviation industry has an opening Staff Accountant role; this role is open due to  expansion. This role reports to the Financial Controller (CPA) and offers an exciting opportunity for career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day QuickBooks general ledger activities, including journal entry preparation, in compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Process accounts payable invoices for timely payment.
• Monitor and record transactions from Stripe, ProPay, and Shopify platforms.
• Coordinate, review, and analyze reporting processes for quarter-end and year-end closes.
• Set up and track Classes in QuickBooks.
• Research and prepare explanations for balance sheet and income statement variances.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.
• Update documentation of business processes and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for other accounting team members.
• Support management with ad hoc requests and special projects.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting.
• 1-2 years of experience in month-end close, general ledger accounting, and reporting, preferably in a growing company.
• Highly desirable to have experience with QuickBooks Desktop
