Job Description
DirectViz Solutions is a high-level, strategic consulting services firm that meets mission IT needs for government customers. We are hiring for a Service Desk Technician for a new 5 year prime contract. This position, is located in Corpus Christi, TX. and requires an active interim Secret clearance to begin work.
Service Desk Technician
Required Skills/Experience:
- Working knowledge and experience with MS Windows 10
- Working knowledge and experience with MS Office 20XX and up
- General working knowledge and experience with printers
- Desktop/printer troubleshooting skills
Desired Skills:
- Active Directory Users and computers familiarity
- Software installation and troubleshooting
- Basic network functionality/troubleshooting
- Knowledge of MS Teams and troubleshooting (connection/camera/mic)
- Experience with remote access software
- Experience with ticket systems (i.e. Remedy/CA)
- Assisting users with software, printer, file access, logon and other issues
- Proper phone etiquette when assisting users
Requirements:
Security Clearance: SECRET, Interim SECRET required to begin work
Education Requirements: BA/BS degree and 1-5 years of experience, or AA/AS/Tech School degree and 2+ years of experience
Certifications:
- IAT Level I (or higher) certification (Network+, A+ , CCNA Security, CND, SSCP)
- Windows Desktop support certification/training (is required within 60 days of start)
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
- Execute tasks independently and work as a team
- Learns and memories routine tasks
- Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
