Master Electrician

A master electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, as well as possess a working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Master electricians needs to have industrial settings experience with strong problem-solving skills.

Master Electrician Job Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, and install electrical systems and components in compliance with local codes and ordinances.
• Inspect completed installations for conformance to code and safety standards.
• Investigate complaints about electrical systems or components and make repairs as necessary.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repair work performed on electrical systems or components.
• Respond to emergency calls to trouble shoot/repair equipment.

Objectives

• To install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in industrial setting.
• To ensure that all electrical work is performed in accordance with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
• To troubleshoot electrical problems and identify their root causes.
• To diagnose and repair complex electrical issues.
• To develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or similar.
• Relevant license or certification.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician.
• Firm grasp of health and safety codes.
• MUST be able to work Monday – Friday; Weekends when required, be required to be On-Call
• Must be capable of working in extreme conditions Hot/Cold
